Standing Strong classes are focused on building muscle strength and promoting healthy bones. These exercise classes are low-impact strengthening based circuit sessions combining pin-loaded machines and free-weight exercises. These classes are suitable for beginners through to experienced gym-goers and optimal for individuals living with osteopenia, osteoporosis, and sarcopenia.
The classes focus on suitably designed strength-based training for age groups of 50 years and older with the goal to guide towards the recommended resistance training prescriptions for older adults. The classes are designed and delivered by our expert exercise physiologist and exercise sport scientist.
