Tegan Van Rijn – Physio

Doctor of Physiotherapy

With a diverse background in sports, rehabilitation, and acute care, Tegan Van Rijn brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to physiotherapy. Her passion lies in helping individuals restore movement, build resilience, and return to the activities they enjoy most.

Career Journey

Tegan began her career in the sporting field, working as a massage therapist for the North Sydney Rabbitohs and NRL referees, where she developed a keen interest in athletic recovery and performance. She went on to work as a Physiotherapy Assistant with Sydney FC, gaining valuable experience in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.

After completing her Doctor of Physiotherapy, Tegan progressed into roles as both assistant and head physiotherapist for a variety of sports teams, providing injury management, tailored rehabilitation, and return-to-play programming.

Her clinical experience extends beyond sport; she also worked as an Emergency Department Physiotherapist at Hawkesbury Hospital, assisting patients with acute injuries and early mobility care.

In private practice, Tegan has established herself in the Windsor area — spending two years as a junior physiotherapist, followed by three years as a senior physiotherapist, where she continues to deliver exceptional evidence-based care to her clients.
