At Greater West Exercise Physiology, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are experienced in providing evidence-based rehabilitation under both the NSW Workers Compensation and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance schemes.

We work closely with clients, doctors, and insurers to help individuals recover from injury, restore function, and return to work or daily activities safely and confidently.

Our Role in the Workers Compensation & CTP System

As registered Exercise Physiologists, we design individualised rehabilitation programs that address each client’s physical, psychological, and functional needs following workplace or motor-vehicle injuries.

Our programs aim to:

  • Improve strength, flexibility, and movement control

  • Reduce pain and promote safe physical activity

  • Rebuild confidence and capacity for work or daily function

  • Support long-term health and injury prevention

We liaise regularly with treating practitioners, case managers, and employers to ensure a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that aligns with each client’s recovery plan.

Common Injury Types We Manage

  • Musculoskeletal injuries (neck, back, shoulder, knee, etc.)

  • Soft-tissue and overuse injuries

  • Post-surgical or post-fracture rehabilitation

  • Chronic pain and deconditioning

  • Work-related or motor-vehicle related injuries

What to Expect

  1. Initial Assessment – A detailed review of your injury, current function, and goals.

  2. Tailored Exercise Program – A structured, progressive plan focusing on mobility, strength, and endurance.

  3. Ongoing Support – Supervised exercise sessions, education, and regular progress updates to your treatment team.

All sessions are conducted in a safe and supportive environment and are compliant with NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) requirements.

Getting Started

To access Exercise Physiology through Workers Compensation or CTP:

  • A medical referral (e.g. from your GP or treating specialist) is required.

  • We’ll assist with all required SIRA and insurer documentation to make the process simple.
